About me

I hate talking about myself. But I will say that I am a native Texan, have a B.A. in Communications from The University of Texas at Arlington and an M.A. in Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin, and have been married for over 20 years.

Current job

I have worked for Intercollegiate Athletics at The University of Texas at Austin since March 1997. I began as a Publications Assistant designing print publications, but now work as a Senior Web Manager for the Communications/New Media area.

Career goals

I hope that earning this ACC Webmaster Certificate will allow me to fill in a lot of blanks in more advanced Web design that I feel I missed along the way with my informal, on-the-job training.

Hobbies, interests, etc.

Most of my free time is spent volunteering for Greyhound Pets of America-Central Texas, a non-profit organization which finds permanent homes for retired racing greyhounds.

My husband and I also enjoy attending music festivals, and camping in national parks and forests in our VW Eurovan.
