When the nation was attacked, we quickly put untrained National Guardsmen into public airports to give the impression of law and order. We invented a color-coded scale to standardize how scared you should be on a given day. Occasionally we announce an unspecific, impending assault on our citizenry, so when it doesn't happen, it appears we did something to thwart it. We exercise broad executive powers that override constitutional rights and erode legal protections you've enjoyed for decades. We crtitcize and accuse those who protest our powers.

Would Nazis do that?
