For the Beginning of the Year test, only students who scored 4 or less in the Screening Section will take this Inventory Section.

Students who were 'Developed' in the BoY skip the Inventory Section both in the MoY and EoY. For these students this section on the Scoring Sheet is left blank.

Students who scored 4 or less in the Screening Section of the BoY will re-take the Screening Section of the MoY. If they score 4 or less again, they will advance to the Inventory Section and from there to the Comprehension Section.

Students who scored 4 or less in the Screening Section of the MoY will re-take the Screening Section of the EoY. If they score 4 or less again, they will advance to the Inventory Section and from there to the Comprehension Section.

This Section can be administered to a group of students at the same time.

All students taking this Section must complete all 4 Tasks. The teacher reads the words, then reads a sentence with that word in it. The students write down the words only.

Students score 1 for each correctly spelled word.

Record individual scores by Task# on the Student Record Sheet. Make sure you indicate which test (Beginning, Middle or End of Year) the score reflects.

Now record scores of all students in the Class Summary Form (#AISD).
