A corporation is legally structured so that it is treated as a person with protections and obligations. Yet, we must remember than a real person is blessed with a conscience and empathy. A corporation is not obliged to act in the best interest of humanity. For this reason, it is necessary that we have laws in place to regulate corporations, in effect, that will act as the conscience of the corporate world.

Animation of Ike effects on Bolivar HomesDad's 3 homes are centered just below the pointer "A" in the animation. The middle homes looks huge; but, the white part you see in the middle is really the concrete driveway in front of the middle house. If you look at the shadows of the 3 homes, you can see that the 2 outside houses are exactly the same and the middle one is a little different and has the white concrete slab in front of it. My Dad and stepmom Sandy were retired and living in the house on the right and rented out the other two as beach house rentals to support them in retirement.
A family member (Mende's boyfriend, Jon) created the above animation of before/after geoearth shots centered on my Dad's homes. Jon's family knows somebody at the Weather Channel and he just contacted me and said it looks like they will be playing that animation on the Weather Channel so people can see something concrete from Gilchrist. It has been very difficult to get any images out of that area and nobody has been allowed to cross the bridge into the peninsula. There are suspicians of bodies and worries about spreading disease.
Jon also asked me the address for Dad's other house on the canal (in Canal City neighborhood nearby) so he could do a before/after animation on that house too. It looks like they will be playing the animations during Steve Lyons show on the Weather Channel today (Tuesday) if you want to see it. I think that will be on sometime after 4pm.
Also, CNN just reported that there is a tiger on the loose on Bolivar, that was in a local pet shop.
