You have already read a little about my main hobbies and you can see more pictures if you are so inclined. Other things that I have tried is using a lathe. With the lathe I have completed 7 of 8 table legs for our bedside tables. I have also done work with a scroll saw, completing ornaments, wind chimes and gifts for conformants. One other toy that I have is a bandsaw. This has been a fun toy just to play with every so often.
Cross stitching is something that I have been doing for many years. It was the first craft that I really got into. I have made many items and I have many that are only half done. I have to stop because another project takes priority. It is still very rewarding once the project is complete.
I taught myself to knit in 2007 because I was finding patterns of afghan’s that I liked but only found knitting instructions. The thing I don't like about knitting is that when I find a mistake it is much more difficult to backtrack and correct my mistakes. You either have to start all over, rip out and then put back on the needles or take one off at a time(very tedious).

I taught myself to crochet in 2003 because I needed something that I could keep busy with when our family took road trips to Colorado and Minnesota. I also enjoy crocheting when I fly. It is very relaxing and easy to correct mistakes since there is only one stitch.
